Working with the aesthetics of physical mutation, I want to make a reflection of the body and show that something, which is considered aesthetically ugly or uncomfortable, can become beautiful and pleasing.
Also I try to play with the idea of mutation in jewelry by using un unusual location of the jewels.
Looking for an accessory that is important for the concept in the aesthetical aspect and the body location, I use the calf muscles as a way to change the normal parameters of the jewel accessory. Is not a part of the body that the jewellers use to create an object, but I found it interesting and particular because they are one of the most eye-catching areas of the body.
I used the copper to make the final prototype of the leg piece, because his relation with the body and his color.
